Ryan and Next Level Energy exceeded our expectations navigating us through the varied options of residential solar. We... bought a 1932 fixer upper and installing solar was an early priority, knowing full well some electrical upgrades and an re-roof of the garage would be needed. Ryan has expertise in roofing and has worked in solar for a long time. The roofers did a fantastic job adding details at my request, like a ridge vent, and details I did not expect. The main service panel was upgraded and the coordination with the electrical contractor, county permitting, PG&E, and the solar installation team was seamless. Communication was timely and excellent as was follow through. Ryan picks up the phone, which was refreshing after many calls and e-mails to another local installer who never responded within the timeline promised.I had researched solar for months and despite having the ability to DIY the project, the time saved to focus on my career and other home projects and not do all the paperwork and coordination myself was money well spent. Ryan came by yesterday and asked if I would like to have my solar panels cleaned. I immediately said yes as I knew... they needed it. He did a great job, he is truly professional. Not to mention that he is a very kind and nice guy. After he left I discovered that my TV no longer worked so I called and asked him if there could have been something that was disturbed during the cleaning. He offered to come back and check for me. When we could not find any problem outside, he came in, moved the TV cabinet out a ways and checked the connections. Turned out the surge protector was bad. What a nice fellow! I would not have figured that out and am truly grateful to him.read more

I was shopping around for solar for several weeks and was not happy with any of the quotes or companies that I had... talked to. Most seemed to have limited options, or were outrageously expensive. I was a hair's breadth away from signing a contract with Advance Power, then the contract they made up for me had different panels from what we agreed on. The next day, I contacted Next Level Energy and Ryan was super helpful. He came out to the house with options ranging from economy 215w panels all the way up to the top of the line SunPower panels. He was knowledgeable and clearly explained the differences, longevity, looks, warranties, and prices with out trying to push me a certain direction. I am extremely happy with the solar array that we ended up with (the LG 365 panels) he was able to get me a great price and work with the city to get the best size for our house, witch was more than what REU had originally said they would allow.Throughout the long permitting process he kept in communication with me and let me know what was going on. He really seemed to go out of his way to make sure that I was happy.In November, a month before the panels were to be installed, I filed a claim with my home insurance and they wrote me a check to get a new roof. I had thought this was great timing but every roofing company that I called said they were at least 6-8 months out before they could get the work done. Ryan had texted me just to check in and I told him what was going on. He said he would reach out to one of his contacts, In the end he was able to get us a new roof (one that was more affordable then insurance expected) in about 2 weeks and still get our solar installed before the new year. Thanks to him I was able to avoid paying to have the solar uninstalled and reinstalled for the new roofing project and I will be able to claim the solar tax credit on my 2019 taxes.I have been, and will continue to recommend Ryan and his company, Next Level Energy, to all my friend and family. He responds quickly to messages and is upfront about his products and the permitting process.read more

Ryan is amazing! Every step during my solar installation, he was in contact with updates. Any question I had, he had a... quick response. Even since the installation he’s been in contact about maintenance and continued support. He even came over and helped out with cleaning the panels almost a year after the installation.
